FREE EXPERT ADVICE AVAILABLE
We offer a more affordable rate than others in the field because we believe
everyone should have access to this help not just those who can afford to
pay high fees. Payments are required in advance.
Our packages:
Step 1 – FREE – The Early Stages
30 minutes advice to include initial thoughts about the strength of your
case, what to put in your appeal form if it hasn’t already been submitted,
and initial thoughts on the school’s case (at this stage it is unlikely that the
school’s written case will be with you as this does not arrive until a week
before the hearing). Advice about what to expect during the hearing will
also be given.
Step 2 - £99 – Preparing for the Hearing
A written report to equip you to present the appeal yourself. This will
include analysis of the school’s case and whether they are compliant with
the Admissions Code of Practice and provide you with a list of questions to
put to the school based on their written submission to identify any possible
weaknesses in their argument. Much of this work, because of the
timeframe for receiving the school’s case, can only be done within the week
immediately before the hearing.
Please bear in mind that errors in the process often do not come to light
until the actual appeal.
Step 3 - £199 – At the Hearing
Attendance at the appeal to present on your behalf, this can only happen if
Step 2 has already been purchased and, therefore, the relevant research
been undertaken. This includes interrogating the school to be sure they
have fully complied with the law on admissions and, where possible,
spotting any errors in their process which haven’t already been identified as
well as gathering further information to argue against any possible
prejudice they are alleging.
Step 4 - £75 – Post Appeal Complaint
If the appeal does not go your way there may be grounds for a complaint to
either the Local Government Ombudsman or the Department for Education
(depending on the status of the school). This cannot be about the decision
itself but about how the appeal process was handled. At the end of the
appeal hearing, we will routinely advise whether there are any grounds for complaint. They cannot overturn the decision but can recommend actions
to be taken, e.g. for a second appeal to be heard. We can put a complaint
together on your behalf.
